Pearl's story is nothing short of miraculous. Found in the middle of the road by a compassionate soul, she was whisked away from danger and into the loving arms of our rescue team. Despite her petite size, Pearl's spirit shines bright. We wasted no time in getting her the help she needed. Thanks to our incredible veterinarian, she received immediate attention, starting her journey to recovery the very next day. Pearl's journey hasn't been easy. From an underdeveloped left eye to battling upper respiratory issues and even a pesky yeast infection in her ear, she's faced it all with unwavering bravery. But here's the best part—despite the challenges, Pearl is thriving! This little dynamo is a bundle of joy, purring her way into our hearts and showing us all what resilience truly means. At just 4-5 months old and weighing a mere 2.2 pounds, Pearl proves that size doesn't dictate strength. Every day, she's making strides, eagerly awaiting cuddles and playtime with her newfound friends. We're overjoyed to see her transformation unfold and can't wait to share her progress with all of you. Stay tuned for more updates on Pearl's journey to health and happiness!

This is Baby, pictured on the left, who came to us two years ago when she, and several other cats from a TNR location, were in an area that was no longer safe for them. They were not wanted on the property and were at risk of being trapped and dumped somewhere else (or killed!!). Thankfully we were able to take them into our sanctuary where they are now safe and spoiled rotten!
Initially when Baby came to us, she was very shy and timid. To provide more socialization time, she was moved into the office with other shy kitties and that was when she met her best friend, Libby! (shown on the right) Baby has really bonded with Libby and she has gradually come out of her shell thanks to their bond and our socialization with her. She has such a cute, little face and one of those precious tiny meows that will just melt your heart. To keep her and Libby healthy, they're both on a special diet, Purina Pro Plan OM (Overweight Management), which helps with Baby's weight and Libby's digestive issues. Will you virtually adopt this little cutie to help cover her care here at the sanctuary? Visit our Fund-A-Feral page here to virtually adopt and learn more about the program. **Every week, we highlight a sanctuary cat in need of a virtual adopter. A virtual adopter is a monthly sponsor through our Fund-A-Feral program who helps cover the costs of their chosen cat's care such as food, enrichment, and necessary vetting for as little as $10/month.** Nacho is a fairly new kitty to the sanctuary who came to us last year when her owners moved and she was left behind. She is a very sweet little lady who has one of the cutest little meows! Nacho enjoys attention and volunteers get to spoil her with love whenever they stop by to clean. Nacho does require a bit of extra attention due to having FIV+ and an allergy to fleas so she is one of our inside kitties.
If you would like to virtually adopt Nacho by becoming a Fund-A-Feral sponsor, please visit this link for more info: Fund-A-Feral To learn more about FIV, click here She is also available for adoption! Fish was adopted by one of our volunteers who fell head over tails in love with her!! Congratulations to Miss Kaye and Fish. We know they will bring each other a lifetime of love and companionship!!
We are so happy to announce three adoptions this week! Snickers was adopted by the family who found her and fostered her. Bo and Maverick were adopted together and were little lunatics running around!! Maverick was so happy we couldn’t get him to sit still long enough for an adoption picture so we posted Bo twice..lol
They need LOVE !! Look at these lives being saved. Young, old, scared, and lost all given time and a second chance to find a home to love them!!
You guys have got to see these beautiful kitties that I get to play with EVERY day!! First we have Simon the Siamese (mix). He was from the very big colony that was surrendered to the animal control. He was pulled by a different rescue up North. He was very shy and skittish at first so we decided he needed a bit more time to socialize and decompress from all of his changes before being adopted. We are working hard every day to bring this sweet soul out of his shell. You can tell he wants to be loved and to love back but he is teetering on the wall of trust. He hasn't quite let go. Once he does, he is going to be a mushy lover-boy!! Next are the two "little" kittens I found New Years Eve just before our bone-chilling-week-long-snow-and-ice-kiss-your-summer-vacation-good-bye-winter-storm....lol Cricket and Malachi were just tiny tots when I first picked them up shivering on the front porch they had found. Oh they thought they were mighty and ferocious with their tiny little puffs of air they thought were hisses. They are now a pound heavier, and the hisses are now saved for the scary vacuum monster that visits. Cricket seems to be the most adventurous of the two for right now, but Malachi is the obvious lover!! They are still developing their personalities and it is so fun to watch. I think they miss their pal Jack, who is recovering with me after his eye surgery. (He gets his own post) And last but not least we have the fabulous "Parker". Parker has been with us now for almost 3 weeks. She wandered right up to my mother in the parking lot at her job. We have posted her as a found cat and have shared her story with the shelter in the area she was found and have not had any luck finding out if she has a family. She appears to be very well cared for and not at all malnourished so we are thinking she might have slipped out before the storm. We hope if she has a family that they see her so we can reunite them. She is so friendly and loves this ball track. Our sweet volunteer Ms. Kaye bought her a light up ball for the track and she plays with it non stop. She is currently enjoying a fresh sprinkle of cat nip...she comes up for air in a few..lol. If no family claims Parker we will place her for adoption. We are accepting applications for her, but we are going to give her a little bit longer to find her family. We know we would hate to have one of ours missing and not know what happened. If you are interested in adopting, you can fill out our adoption application here. :) |
