We have an ANNOUNCEMENT!!

We are officially partnering with Robinvale Designs to offer our donors a chance for one-of-a-kind cat necklaces! How awesome is that?!

Pictured are just a few examples of their work. They are planning to begin work on our necklaces very soon (and we'll share those once we get them!), but we were so excited about this that we could not wait to share the news with all of you!

And if necklaces are not your thing, you can use them as decorative pieces for ornaments, keychains, purses, and more!

So how can you snag one for yourself?

Every donation within a quarter will be entered to win the highlighted cat necklace for that quarter. After the quarter is over, we will have a drawing to determine the lucky winner for that necklace! The more often you donate, the more chances you have to win. It's our way of giving thanks for supporting us.

Monthly donors are entered for every donation as well. If you're interested in becoming one, check out our Fund-A-Feral program in which you can sponsor one of our sanctuary kitties for as little as $10/month.

For one time donations, you can also visit our donation page.

If you have been sending us food, litter, or other supplies and would like to be entered into the drawing - please send us an email or FB message. A copy of your receipt will greatly help, if you have one.

This quarter runs from July 1 through September 30, 2026 with the drawing for the winner in October. Keep an eye out for an announcement within the next couple weeks of which cat necklace will be available.

We know it has been a while since we have provided updates on current happenings at the sanctuary and our TNVR initiatives. So today is an effort to get back into providing more regular updates for all of you.

Here we have a picture of Twinkle Toes under one of our fig trees. We picked this picture because today is Friday and there is this trend of making posts that start with the same letter as the day, which would be "fig," in this case.

But we also want to highlight Twinkle Toes. He has been a sanctuary resident for the past 4 years. Can you spot the reason for his name?

Twinkle Toes, along with our other feline residents, rely on us to cover their needs which range from daily care such as food, water, shelter, litter, and enrichment to less often, but still important care, such as vaccinations and medical care.

For this reason, we have setup a way to sponsor a sanctuary resident through our Fund-A-Feral program to help cover the monthly costs for each cat. For as little as $10/mo, you can support a sanctuary resident of your choice.

We’re excited to highlight Martin Family Dentistry, a dental practice located in the Winterville community. It is now proudly led by Dr. Kosha, who took over the practice in 2026. Her team’s warm approach, attention to detail, and focus on patient comfort has made this a well-loved family dental practice.

Dr. Kosha has been a strong advocate and participant within the TNVR field, having done the work on her own that included scheduling appointments, trapping cats, transporting them to get neutered, providing overnight housing and finding placement for them. We're thrilled to highlight Pamlico Animal Hospital, a veterinary hospital that has been around in the Washington community since 1978. As the demand for veterinary care has continued to grow over time, they recently expanded in 2020 to provide additional space for a larger team of 6 veterinarians and support staff. They also renovated the original building, creating a dedicated pet resort for all of your grooming and boarding needs.

They have been instrumental in spay/neuter initiatives in the county. They are one of two vets in the area who accept the low-cost cat spay/neuter vouchers from the Humane Society of Beaufort County, NC and with their expansion, they have increased their capacity to perform spay/neuter surgeries - helping to tackle the large stray cat population in the area. Their team has continued to work with us over the 10+ years we have been around and we could not have accomplished so much without their partnership.
