We have come to expect that most kittens that come into rescue will come with challenges. One of those is ringworm (not a worm!)
With our recent intakes we have seen two litters with ringworm. Here are a few of our kittens. Can you find the ringworm? More about it: Ringworm isn’t actually a worm—it’s a fungus! And it’s super common in kittens, especially those coming from outdoor or shelter environments. It may look scary (hair loss, scabs, redness), but it’s treatable—and not a reason to give up on a kitten in need. With time, medication, and lots of love, they bounce back beautifully. If you're fostering or adopting, don’t be afraid of a little fungus. These babies need care—not judgment.
