Hey Friends!
We’ve had so many people reach out recently about these kittens—and others in need of help. You guys are truly the best and have such humongous hearts. I thought this would be a good time to reintroduce who we are and what our missions are. First—WE LOVE KITTENS!! (Seriously, who doesn’t?) But… the reality is, we don’t have the physical space or round-the-clock capacity that many kittens require. Every year, so many kittens are born into tough situations—sick, injured, or worse—and it breaks our hearts. We started Paws and Love with a very specific goal: to tackle the overpopulation crisis of homeless, feral, and community cats through TNR—Trap, Neuter, Return. Our mission is to prevent suffering before it starts by reducing reproduction. Because honestly… it’s rough being a kitten out there. Now, every once in a while, we run into situations we didn’t plan for—like trapping a mama cat who’s still nursing or finding tiny babies while out in the field. If we can, we absolutely try to help. But before we can take any kittens (or adults) in, a lot of things have to line up: 1. We have to reach out to our trusted rescue partners who do adoptions and see if they have room. 2. Then we assess whether we have space—either at the rescue or with a foster. 3. And finally, we have to carefully consider the financial and physical demands of the intake. If we can meet those needs, then we proceed. We love that so many of you want to open your hearts and homes to these sweet kittens. That says so much about who you are. If you’re looking to adopt, there are many wonderful kittens at the local shelter and with other rescues—we’d be happy to point you in the right direction. And if you’ve found yourself with a litter and are unsure what to do, please check out this resource first https://www.alleycat.org/community-cat-care/finding-kittens-outdoors/ before making any decisions. We’re always here to answer questions, but please know that we are not typically open for intakes—especially for kittens or adult cats outside of our mission scope. Thank you all for caring so much. You truly make a difference.
